Dear Captains,

“STEDFAST GRANT”

An Assistance Scheme of the Stedfast Association, Singapore

 The Stedfast Association of The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore is an organization for former members of The Boys’ Brigade, all serving BB Officers, friends and supporters of The Boys’ Brigade.

 The object of the Stedfast Association is primarily to further the Object of The Boys’ Brigade, to promote wholesome lifestyle among it members, and to render community services to others.  One of the main objectives has always been to provide assistance and support to the BB movement.

 To further the aspirations and purpose of the Stedfast Association, we are offering an assistance scheme under the “Stedfast Grant” to focus on the following:

 The Stedfast Association intends to give a grant of S$ 400.00 to FIFTEEN (15) BB members this year.

General Guidelines for the Application:

  1. Only BB Companies in Singapore are eligible.
  2. Applications are open to all BB members regardless of race and religion.
  3. Each Company may submit a maximum of three (3) applications.
  4. Only BB members whose family income is S$ 450.00 per capita will qualify for assessment for the grant, meaning that each member of the household will not earn more than S$ 450.00 when the total income is divided out (e.g.) if family’s total income is S$ 1,800.00, and they have 4 members, they just about qualify.
  5. Each member’s application shall be submitted by the Captain of their BB Company only after they have been considered by the Captain.
  6. Although not compulsory, it is an advantage for the Company Captain to state in the prescribed space “Captain’s Submission” in Form A, each member’s qualification in the following:
  7.  On the separate FORM B “QUESTIONNAIRES” the applicant shall compulsorily answer all the Questions 1 to 3 and complete Item 4.
  8. Applicants who do not meet the required guidelines but require the grant is welcome to send in the application and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

FORM A, FORM B & Assessment Tool Form, shall be submitted by 31 AUGUST 2009 in an envelope marked “STEDFAST GRANT”, The Secretary, The Stedfast Association, c/o BB Campus, 105 Ganges Avenue, Singapore 169695.

A panel of Assessors, including a social worker, will evaluate the applications one week after the closing date and the results will be known within two weeks.  Presentation of the grants will take place at the annual BB Founder’s Day Thanksgiving Dinner on Friday, 30 October 2009.

We are thankful to God for enabling the Stedfast Association to embark on this project and look forward to your support and participation in this assistance scheme, which by God’s Grace, will surely benefit some needy and deserving BB members.
